Tips for tonight
- Find a dark spot away from lights with a clear view north, and give your eyes 15 minutes to adjust.
- The aurora comes in waves: if it is quiet, wait 20–30 minutes before giving up. Dress warmly.
- Your phone camera sees more than your eyes: use night mode and hold still for a few seconds.
